With a common format in his later works (100 x 81 cm), this composition is dominated by line scrawled quickly and calligraphically, in an almost labyrinthine pattern. This sinuous, ornamental line, based on yellows, blues, reds and ochres, unfolds over an empty background and contrasts with modulated touches of the paintbrush which create a formal, spatial counterpoint.
This piece was acquired by the Fundación María Cristina Masaveu Peterson along with others by the same artist in the Juana de Aizpuru Gallery (Madrid) in January 2020.
