A school activity for students in compulsory and upper secondary education, linked to the exhibition Masaveu Collections. Textile Art.

Tracing the history of textile art, participants will explore how its techniques, materials and forms of expression have evolved, from the great tapestries of the sixteenth, seventeenth and eighteenth centuries to the most innovative approaches in contemporary art. 

The tour will encourage participants to reflect on textiles as a means of artistic expression and on the creative possibilities offered by different textile techniques.

The activity concludes with a practical workshop in which participants will experiment with different materials and textile techniques to design and create their own piece of textile art.
