This work was acquired by the María Cristina Masaveu Peterson Foundation during the 2013 International Contemporary Art Fair (ARCO) in Madrid, and is part of the “Águas Livres” project. The work was also part of the artist’s exhibition in his gallery in Gijón a few months later.

The work plays with shapes and uncluttered lines, that perspective of dialogue with the metaphysical spirit of modern buildings that defend other great national and international photographers (José Manuel Ballester, Roland Fischer and others) and that led Baraja to be selected in the “Contexto crítico (“Critial Context”) exhibition. Fotografía española siglo XXI (21st century Spanish photography) commissioned by “Museology” (Rosa Olivares, Carolina García and Alberto Sánchez Balmisa) together with other prodigies of contemporary photography. The artist understands spaces to be places of absences, appreciating light with records and perspectives of almost Renaissance reminiscences.
