Communication with the purpose of culturally promoting artists included in the Fundación María Cristina Masaveu Peterson Collection, works protected by intellectual property rights. Their total or partial reproduction or processing by any means, or their transmission or cession in any form is forbidden without the authorisation of the holder of the rights to the works
Author: Yukata Mori (Tokio, 1988)
Technique: acrylic on canvas and watercolor paper
Size: 60 x 60 cm
In February 2017, the Fundación María Cristina Masaveu Peterson acquired this work, along with another by the same author at the Gema Llamazares stand at JUSTMAD 8. Yutaka Mori has participated in the Madrid fair with this Asturian gallery for the past three years and has held several individual and group exhibitions in its space in Gijón. Mori’s harmony, constructive spirit and formal sobriety are enriched here with the use of Japanese paper through a clean gaze which is altered with symmetries, fragments and chromatic levity, debating between optical tricks and perceptive echoes with an effective aesthetic subtlety.
