PROGRAMME FOR SENIORS
VIRTUAL TOUR AND WORKSHOP FOR SENIORS AT CARE HOMES, DAY CENTRES AND ASSOCIATIONS

THE HISTORY OF ART THROUGH THE MASAVEU COLLECTIONS

FMCMP MADRID CENTRE
21 OCTOBER, 2026 – 18 JULY, 2027

As part of its educational endeavours, Fundación María Cristina Masaveu Peterson has created a programme of free learning activities for senior citizens (65+) at day centres, care homes and associations for the elderly in the region of Madrid.

This activity, led by the cultural mediators at the FMCMP Madrid Centre, is designed specifically for older people.

The activity consists of a dynamic virtual tour followed by a creative workshop. The tour offers participants an instructive overview of art history through a selection of the most representative paintings and sculptures in the Masaveu Collection. This important private collection owned by Corporación Masaveu includes works by El Greco, Ribera, Zurbarán, Murillo, Goya, Sorolla, Casas, Picasso, Miró and many other great artists.

The activity ends with a creative workshop tailored to each group’s cognitive and mobility requirements.
