A school activity for Years 4, 5 and 6 of Primary Education, linked to the exhibition Masaveu Collections. Textile Art.

How is a work of textile art made? Can we use textiles to create an image, express an idea or play with colour? What happens when, instead of painting on canvas, we create with threads and fabrics?

Through an interactive tour and a creative workshop, participants will discover how textiles can be used as a form of artistic expression and explore different ways of working with threads and fibres. Inspired by the work of artists such as Sheila Hicks and Teresa Lanceta, they will experiment with these materials to create their own piece of textile art.
