The exaltation of colour, the value assigned to shape, sequential organisation, the shedding of any real referent and the combination of different techniques are just some of the hallmarks of the abstract works by the German photographer Wolfgang Tillmans, as in this work, which captures a blurry, unrecognisable yet beautiful image of a place, specifically the city of Helsinki.
This work was acquired by the Fundación María Cristina Masaveu Peterson at the Galería Juana de Aizpuru stand at the 2017 ARCO fair.
