Eucharistia is the name of the exhibition of the Fundación Las Edades del Hombre in its 19th series, an exhibition of Sacred Art that helped us to be closer to the rich heritage of the Church of Castilla y León: one of the largest collections of religious art of Europe.

This exhibition took place in the in the churches of Santa María and San Juan, Aranda de Duero (Burgos). It included 130 Art pieces, articulated in four chapters.

The guide was organized in four chapters. It was based on a journey through the history of the Eucharist; the first chapter was about the human realities where the elements of the Eucharist  were explained: the bread, the wine and the feast, because we mustn’t forget that the Eucharist emerges in a festive dinner, a Paschal dinner; the second chapter illustrated the Eucharist from the point of view of the Old Testament, based on the stories occurred to Abraham and his hospitality, Isaac and his sacrifice, and passages as the manna in the desert, the Alliance of Sinai… The third chapter was about the institution of the Eucharist in the New Testament, through three stages: the origins in Jesus, the creation and the first church; the fourth chapter presented the essential dimensions: Banquet, sacrifice, the body of Christ, celebration and charity commitment.

The first three chapters took place in the Church of Santa Maria and the fourth chapter will be in the Church of San Juan.
