PREVIEW OF THE 2026/2027 SCHOOL PROGRAMME

FMCMP MADRID CENTRE
20 OCTOBER, 2026 –18 JUNE, 2027

Drawing on its experience of training-related activities, Fundación María Cristina Masaveu Peterson created this free educational programme to meet the needs of the school community, from pre-primary to upper secondary, which offers different types of guided tours and workshops related to the season’s exhibitions.

Below is a sneak peek at what we have planned for the coming school year:

SCHOOL PROGRAMME

SCHOOL PROGRAMME: TEXTILE ART IN THE MASAVEU COLLECTIONS
Target audience: Primary, lower and upper secondary pupils

Masaveu Collections: Textile Art is an exhibition featuring over eighty pieces of textile art made between the fifteenth century and the present day, from antique tapestries to contemporary creations by Tàpies, Miró, Marina Abramović, Grau-Garriga, Sonia Delaunay, Aurèlia Muñoz and many other artists.

Through this school activity, participants will discover the basic concepts and leading representatives of textile art. The guided tours, tailored to each educational level, will end with a hands-on creative workshop, giving pupils the chance to experiment with different fabrics as art materials.

SCHOOL PROGRAMME: STREET ART IN THE FUNDACIÓN MARÍA CRISTINA MASAVEU PETERSON COLLECTION
Target audience: Pre-school, primary, lower and upper secondary pupils

The Street Art Space contains selected street art pieces by Banksy, Keith Haring, Kobra, Okuda, Edgar Plans and Javier Calleja, among other artists.

This educational programme will show teach kids about the different techniques employed by street artists and the wide variety of materials they use, many of which are recycled to give them a second life.

Using a methodology based on play and teamwork, we will encourage participants to become street artists for a day.
