This work was acquired by the FMCMP Art Collection at the International Contemporary Art Fair of Madrid (ARCO) in February 2016 in the stand of Lisbon’s 3+1 gallery. In this series, which was made in London, the Brazilian artist reveals her refined sensibility for shaping enigmas which start by observing the passage of time drawing from apparently simple resources, such as balanced stones, people facing one another, drops or gases. Just as in this work, she is interested in the everyday images generated by natural processes, the movement of water, human gestures and material remains. The contained poetics of this piece reveal an intelligent contemplative stance towards the essentialness of things, far from the conceptual discourses or other tendencies common to her generation.
