The exhibition “Santas de Zurbarán: Devoción y Persuasión” is an original project of Instituto de la Cultura y las Artes del Ayuntamiento, ICAS and the co-organization of BBVA, which aimed to reconcile the sense and the functionality of the production of Zurbarán of the 17TH century with the current creation of the most important designers in Spain that have been influenced by the painter or they consider him the first Spanish designer.

The Masaveu collection participated in the exhibition with the assignment of the work: Santa Catalina. HC. 1635-40 Zurbarán, Francisco de. (Badajoz 1598 – Seville 1664.)

With Saint Catalina, other Virgin Saints who were exposed there, were offered for the occasion by The National Gallery in London, the Museo Nacional del Prado, the Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza in Madrid, the Museo de Bellas Artes of Sevilla,  the Museo de Bellas Artes of Bilbao, the Musei di Strada Nuova, Palazzo Bianco in Genoa and the Museo Carmen Thyssen in Malaga.

Thus, you could admire the work of Zurbarán with: Saint Dorotea, Saint Engracia, Saint Bárbara, Saint Matilda, Saint Inés, Saint Marina, Saint Eulalia, Saint Catalina, Saint Isabel de Hungría, Saint Úrsula, Saint Eufemia, Saint Isabel de Portugal, Saint Catalina, and Saint Margarita de Antioquía
