THE BOOK

Publication produced on the occasion of the exhibition «Masaveu Collection: object and nature. Still lifes and vases from the 17th – 18th centuries» at the FMCMP centre in Madrid. It is curated by Ángel Aterido, a specialist in 17th century Spanish painting.

The exhibition traces the development of the still life genre, which is one of the most coherent thematic nuclei in the Masaveu Collection, both in terms of number and quality. The selection of works from the Masaveu Collection is completed with new works from the Fundación María Cristina Masaveu Peterson itself, together with a significant part of the Pedro Masaveu Peterson Collection.
