MUSA, Ding

(São Paulo, 1979)

After studying Music and Geography at the University of São Paulo, Ding Musa furthered his studies in modern photography, and since then he has alternated working in video, drawing and installation. Light, empty space and geometry are essential interests in all his works, which are both emotive and contemplative and have certain artistic resonances which forge a fascinating pathway among several disciplines. He has participated in numerous collective experiences and residencies, such as Bosch (Cardiff, Wales, 2004), Carpe Diem Arte e Investigación (Lisbon, Portugal, 2012) and CAJ_Artistic Residencies (Tokyo, Japan, 2015), and he has recently participated in fairs and festivals like PhotoEspaña and ARCO (Madrid) and Volta (Basel), among others.
