THE MARIA CRISTINA MASAVEU PETERSON FOUNDATION PARTICIPATES IN THE 11TH EDITION OF MOM (MADRID OTRA MIRADA) WITH GUIDED TOURS OF ITS HEADQUARTERS IN MADRID

The program of the 11th edition of Madrid Otra Mirada counts this year with the participation of the María Cristina Masaveu Peterson Foundation. MOM is a cultural program organized by the Culture Department of the Madrid City Council that includes guided tours, conferences and talks, concerts, workshops, exhibitions, screenings and children’s activities in different cultural spaces in the city, buildings and representative institutions. This great open day of Madrid’s architecture allows visitors to get to know more than a hundred buildings and architectural studios that are normally closed to the public.
The Foundation participates for the second time offering visitors the opportunity to learn about the architecture of its headquarters in Madrid and its main lines of work. In addition, the visit includes access to spaces closed to the public, such as the upper terrace.
The FMCMP headquarters is located in a refurbished building, a former 19th century mansion that has been converted into a cultural center. The rehabilitation project (2015-2018) was carried out by architects Rafael Masaveu and Carolina Compostizo and has a special protection of the original building, while seeking to apply a rehabilitation with a contemporary formal language.
The headquarters has a B energy certificate, which reflects the condition of a sustainable refurbished building and shows the Foundation’s faithful commitment to the conservation and care of the environment.
