Fundación María Cristina Masaveu Peterson is participating in the 69th International Trade Show of Asturias, where it has set up an exhibition space featuring some of the most important initiatives the foundation has supported in Asturias over the last twenty years.
María Cristina Masaveu Peterson created this foundation in 2006 with the aim of supporting and promoting the advancement of culture, the education of young people and scientific research in Spain and abroad, with a special focus on Asturias.
Since then, the foundation has remained active on multiple fronts, offering or supporting exhibitions, publications, educational programmes and research projects, in addition to building its own art collection and managing the Masaveu Collection.
The space at the trade show surveys a selection of these initiatives, illustrating the broad scope of the foundation’s efforts in Asturias since it came into being. The featured projects reflect its steadfast commitment to the region and its determination to advance the preservation, study and wider appreciation of heritage, art and knowledge.
The exhibition will be open to visitors from 1 to 16 August at the Luis Adaro exhibition centre in Gijón, in connection with the International Trade Show of Asturias.
