(Madrid, 1964)

The recent installations of Daniel Canogar are built with electronic material found in rubbish dumps, landfills and recycling centres, exploring the short life of technology and its relationship with death, reviving the inanimate through animated interactions that play with light and awaken the memory of stored energy. That is one of the keys to his work, which he projects onto his digital photographs. He has received the Photography Award of the Autonomous Community of Madrid (2010) and the Villa de Madrid Prize (2009) and, among others, the Critical Eye Prize of RNE (1997), as well as numerous study fellowships.
