THE MARIA CRISTINA MASAVEU PETERSON FOUNDATION BRINGS TOGETHER
THE HUNDRED MOST OUTSTANDING WORKS FROM THE MASAVEU COLLECTION
OF THE 20TH CENTURY.

The María Cristina Masaveu Peterson Foundation presents Colección Masaveu. 20th Century Spanish Art. From Picasso to Barceló, an exhibition that brings together the most outstanding works of 20th century art from the Masaveu collections. The exhibition, which is free of charge, will be on view at the Foundation’s center in Madrid from October 9, 2024 to July 20, 2025.

These works, previously unknown to the general public, are part of the collecting effort initiated in the 1960s by Pedro Masaveu Peterson and continued by Elías Masaveu, and which has grown systematically in recent years, mainly through the Fundación María Cristina Masaveu Peterson. The exhibition brings together mostly works from the Masaveu Collection, but is complemented by works from the María Cristina Masaveu Peterson Foundation Collection and from the personal collection of Fernando Masaveu, president of the Foundation.

Therefore, thanks to this exhibition, it will be possible to discover the tastes and lines of work that explain the exceptional collecting work that has characterized the Masaveu family over the years.
