The Fundación María Cristina Masaveu Peterson is currently presenting Masaveu Collection. Twentieth-Century Spanish Art: From Picasso to Barceló, an exhibition that brings together the top one hundred works from the Masaveu Collection that were made during the last century.

This lecture series led by the curator of the show, María Dolores Jiménez-Blanco, features leading experts on the subject who will share their insights about each of the proposed themes.

Programme:

  • 7 October, 2025: The Masaveu Collection: A history of collecting and its context (I)
  • 14 October, 2025: From Picasso to Barceló: A vision of twentieth-century Spanish art through the Masaveu Collections (II)
  • 21 October, 2025: Artistic avant-gardes and their shadows (III)
  • 11 November, 2025: Art informel and other artistic manifestations of the central decades of the twentieth century (IV)

All lectures will commence at 7 pm in the María Cristina Masaveu Auditorium at the FMCMP Madrid Centre.

IMPORTANT:  Free admission on a first come, first served basis. Tickets (one per person) can be collected at the Foundation’s ticket office from one hour before the start of the lecture.
