TWENTIETH-CENTURY SPANISH ART: THE MASAVEU COLLECTION

FMCMP MADRID CENTRE
11 NOVEMBER, 2025 – 19 JULY, 2026

In keeping with its educational endeavours, the Fundación María Cristina Masaveu Peterson has created a programme of free activities to encourage senior citizens (65+) from day centres, care homes and associations for the elderly to discover or learn more about twentieth-century Spanish art.

This activity designed especially for the elderly consists of an educational tour focused on a selection of the most representative paintings and sculptures of the different art movements highlighted in the exhibition Masaveu Collection. Twentieth-Century Spanish Art: From Picasso to Barceló.

The tour is followed by a creative workshop in which participants will explore different techniques and artistic styles as a means of inspiring their own creativity.

This activity can be held at the Fundación María Cristina Masaveu Peterson Madrid Centre or on the premises of the requester’s centre, replacing the physical tour with a virtual one. In this case, the cultural mediators of the Fundación María Cristina Masaveu Peterson will go to the day centre or care home.
