Guided tour of the exhibition Masaveu Collection. Twentieth-Century Spanish Art: From Picasso to Barceló and a creative activity in the workshop.

What is the difference between abstract art and realist art? How is a cubist image created? By examining paintings and sculptures by artists like Picasso, Miró, Sorolla, Antonio López and Tàpies, the participants will learn about some of the most important art movements of the twentieth century, including cubism, surrealism and abstraction.

The tour is followed by a workshop in which participants will experiment with different techniques, colours and materials.

Place: Fundación María Cristina Masaveu Peterson Madrid Centre
Target audience: Groups of seniors (65+) from day centres, care homes and associations willing
to visit the FMCMP Madrid Centre
Accessibility: Senior-friendly space with wheelchairs, walking sticks and walking stick seats
available for loan, as well as magnetic induction loops for hearing aid users
Number of participants: Minimum 10, maximum 25
Duration: 90 minutes
