The exhibition Dear Martin! (Martín Chirino in the United States) is one the landmark shows for the centenary of the birth of Martín Chirino (Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, 1925–Madrid, 2019). This is a new project organised by the Óscar Niemeyer International Cultural Centre Foundation and the Martín Chirino Foundation with support from Acción Cultural Española (AC/E).

The show features twenty-seven sculptures and about thirty drawings by Martín Chirino, as well as films, correspondence, photographs, publications and even pieces of music that highlight the artist’s connection with the United States.

The work loaned by the FMCMP, a large-scale piece, was made to honour the memory of the victims of the terrorist attack at Atocha Station in Madrid on 11 March 2004.
