TWENTIETH-CENTURY SPANISH ART: THE MASAVEU COLLECTION

FMCMP MADRID CENTRE

Virtual tour and creative activity focused on the exhibition Masaveu Collection. Twentieth-Century Spanish Art: From Picasso to Barceló. Two cultural mediators of the Fundación María Cristina Masaveu Peterson will visit the requesting centre to perform this activity.

What is the difference between abstract art and realist art? How is a cubist image created? By examining paintings and sculptures by artists like Picasso, Miró, Dalí, Antonio López and Barceló, the participants will learn about some of the most important art movements of the twentieth century.

The virtual tour is followed by a workshop in which participants will experiment with different techniques, colours and materials.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION

Place: The premises of the requesting centre, which must be located in the region of Madrid.
Target audience: Groups of seniors (65+) from day centres, care homes and associations
Number of participants: Minimum 10, maximum 30
Duration: 90 minutes
Price: Free
Dates: 11 November 2025–19 July 2026
Times: Wednesday mornings and Thursday afternoons (excluding public holidays)
Important. Day centres must be able to provide certain equipment to perform the activity, such as a space with tables and chairs and a television or similar to be able to deliver a Power Point presentation. However, the Foundation can adapt the workshops to the needs of each centre.
